Hamilton Resident Kelsey Tweedly Among Top Under-40 Marketing Professionals
PRINCETON JUNCTION, N.J.—November 11, 2021—Kelsey Tweedly, the brand experience manager at CMA, a full-service communications, marketing and association management firm, has been recognized for excellence by a prominent industry organization.
The Hamilton resident was honored as one of Jersey’s Best Marketing and Communications Professionals Under 40 by The NJ Ad Club at an awards reception yesterday at Car Lofts in Fairfield.
“Kelsey is a hard-working, team player with a positive can-do attitude,” said Jeffrey Barnhart, CEO and founder of CMA, who has mentored her since she joined the company in 2016. “As an award-winning brand manager, she is patient and persistent. As a leader, she is confident leveraging her authority in boardroom meetings involving sales and client strategy.
“She is also level-headed and even-keel, a team member who you want on your side when times are tough,” he added.
During the worst of the pandemic, Tweedly helped CMA build its brand by helping others.
Marketing With Purpose
During the start of COVID-19, Tweedly shifted the company’s social media strategy, launching a video series that helped small local companies share their story about how they have adapted their business model during the pandemic to stay afloat. Live webinars included “Virtual Success: How Remote Events Build Brands” and “Digital Marketing: How The New Norm Has Shifted Trade Show Spend.”
Giving Back To The Community
Tweedly launched the CMA Cares program that branded the company’s long-standing commitment to nonprofits. In the first half of 2020, CMA partnered with Dress For Success NJ. In the second half of the year, CMA helped more than 20 Mercer County nonprofits when it launched the website for the Trenton Social Impact Group’s Common Good Initiative that delivers life-saving services, such as food assistance, employment opportunities, counseling and support. Rescue Mission of Trenton, Meals on Wheels of Mercer County, HomeFront NJ, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Trenton and the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen were part of the coalition.
Creating a Winning Culture
Tweedly also believes in the value of creating a sense of community within the company, so she continues to manage strategic company partnerships, as well as ongoing company events, such as the summertime picnics, quarterly and monthly employee award presentations, and the iconic, award-winning CMA holiday card that has been a staple for the company for more than 30 years. This project alone, which features every employee, begins every July and progresses through Thanksgiving inclusive of many different departments across CMA and partnerships.
