Leo Rommel Recognized for Excellence and Enthusiasm
PRINCETON JUNCTION, N.J.—December 15, 2020—CMA, a full-service communications, marketing and association management firm, announced today that Leo Rommel, content marketing specialist, has been named Crew Star for the fourth quarter. The award recognizes a team member each quarter for modeling and championing CMA’s core values, while spreading the positive principles to the team.
Rommel, who lives in East Amwell, New Jersey, was selected for proactively and consistently identifying and securing new opportunities to enhance brand awareness and thought leadership for CMA’s clients, including Amerlux, actor and comedian Steve Greenstein and First Bank.
“Getting the attention of high-profile media outlets is not an easy task, but Leo works diligently to exceed our clients’ objectives and expectations,” said Jeffrey Barnhart, CEO and founder of CMA. “He is a passionate and enthusiastic storyteller who works tirelessly to identify newsworthy angles, write high-quality content and secure top-tier media placements. In just one year, Leo quickly adopted CMA’s strategic, client-centered approach with gusto, embracing the agency’s content strategy, which is centered on people-first narratives and problem solving.”
Rommel is a strategic public relations professional and creative marketer. Earlier this year, when the Paycheck Protection Program was launched, Rommel positioned First Bank as a thought leader who served as the mouthpiece for all community banks in the nation. In just two weeks, he secured more than 35 media placements totaling 520.5 million impressions for First Bank. Placements included The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, CNBC and CBS News.
In coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders, Rommel develops and drives messaging through trade and press opportunities. He leads the development of original content, including bylined articles, blog posts, press releases, webinars, case studies and landing pages.
With this award, Rommel will receive a reserved parking spot in the employee lot, lunch with CMA’s executive team, a pre-paid gift card and a prominently displayed headshot in the CMA lobby with past Crew Star winners.
