Kenneth Hitchner Discusses How to Build Personal Brand on Nov. 17
PRINCETON JUNCTION, N.J. – October 25 2017 – Kenneth Hitchner, public relations and social media director at Creative Marketing Alliance (CMA), a full-service, award-winning strategic marketing and integrated communications firm, will present proven strategies to build personal brands at the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals Summit on Nov. 17, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
During his session, “5 Words About Your Career: How Social Media Can Change Your Life,” Hitchner will share his best practices on strategic communications to assist attendees— professionals under 40—in building their personal brand to help advance their career. In less than one hour, he will:
- Discuss the two factors that will determine the outcome of your career and life
- Reveal the secret formula for changing people’s minds
- Share proven techniques on how to build your own personal brand
- Review tools and assets to propel your career
- Provide an actionable social media system that will build your brand awareness for less than your weekly fix of coffee
“I’m excited to lend my expertise in social media to young professionals in the Princeton region,” said Hitchner, whose team put one client in the news every 12 hours and in front of 2 million targeted individuals every day in 2016. “Attendees will walk out of the session with an actionable plan that will get results.”
Hitchner is a strategic communications professional, who protects and promotes brands for mission-driven organizations. On behalf of CMA’s clients, he is responsible for overseeing the firm’s expanding communications platforms, including traditional, digital and emerging media. His team produced the number one social media campaign in 2016 for associations in the United States, according to Association Trends. In addition, his team recently won industry awards for several campaigns in media relations, Facebook marketing and publications.
Prior to joining CMA, Hitchner was the spokesman for NJ Transit and deputy press secretary for the Governor of New Jersey, who left office with a 71 percent public-approval rating, a first in the Garden State. Earlier in his career, he was chief content officer for the Professional Service Group of Central New Jersey (PSGCNJ), where he built strategic relationships that turned a defunct state program into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that put downsized professionals back into the workforce every 58 hours. In addition to media placements, a social media campaign created an opportunity for the nonprofit to meet President Barack Obama’s Secretary of Labor in Washington, D.C. The discussion resulted in President Obama asking 300 CEOs to sign a pledge that relaxed hiring practices in regards to the long-term unemployed. Rutgers University Alumni Association honored Hitchner’s efforts with a leadership award.
Hitchner earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism from Temple University and his M.B.A. in marketing from Rutgers University. He also earned a certificate in social media marketing from Rutgers University.
