PRINCETON JUNCTION, N.J. – May 14, 2019 – CMA, a full-service communications, marketing and association management firm, welcomes Lynn Powell as its managing director of marketing. She will oversee client services and marketing operations.
A seasoned strategic marketing professional, Powell has more than 20 years of experience in client services, account management, operations, business development and financial administration. She has worked with clients across diverse industries encompassing technology, healthcare, tourism, non-profit, insurance, real estate, finance, education, supply chain and hospitality. Powell has an established track record of successfully overseeing and growing marketing initiatives through cross-functional departments within Fortune 100 companies.
As the Group Account Director for Wunderman (Y&R Brands, WPP Agency), Powell was a key client lead and strategic marketing advisor for Dell, while managing an internal team of account and project managers. Over an eight-year span with Dell, she oversaw key relationships within Dell’s global, integrated marketing and marcom production, which included numerous clients and stakeholders. In addition, she supervised thousands of projects yearly across their B2B, B2C, and Public/Large Enterprise verticals. As one of WPP’s initial hires to develop a global agency specific for the Dell client, Powell also was integral in building processes and procedures for Dell’s global marcom production model, as well as for the start-up agency.
Powell will be responsible for client services, coordinating processes and directing the marketing operations across CMA. They include cross-functional department and internal team leadership; marketing strategy for the firm and its clients; client relationship building; customer analytics; branding and messaging; business growth initiatives; P&L management; and business development support.
Powell earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the State University of New York (SUNY) Stony Brook.
