PRINCETON JUNCTION, N.J.–Nov. 7, 2016– Creative Marketing Alliance (CMA), a full-service, award-winning strategic marketing and integrated communications firm, strengthened the value proposition of the International Card Manufacturers Association (ICMA) with the creation of CardTREX, a new brand for its regional events around the world.
CardTREX is a series of events hosted by ICMA, a global trade association for card manufacturers, personalizers, issuers and suppliers, that focuses on offering unique opportunities for education, training, networking and exchanging ideas among industry peers.
“We created a unified brand for ICMA’s global education and training programs and set up a formal structure for all of the programs,” said Jeffrey Barnhart, CMA CEO and president, who is also the founder of ICMA and serves as its executive director. “The new brand and structure of CardTREX will allow us to advance the programs forward with a uniform look, feel and message, no matter where in the world they are held.”
CMA’s strategic marketing team fashioned a new name and logo to unite the programs, which were formerly known as the ICMA North American Workshop and the EuroForum, and designed a new website, CardTREX.org, as a resource for ICMA’s educational and training programs.
“We created a name to reflect the purpose of the programs,” Barnhart said. “‘Card’ reflects our industry and ‘TREX’ represents the trek or journey of life-long learning as technology and the industry evolve. CardTREX will always be at the forefront of the latest trends and innovation in card technology, security and manufacturing, while educating ICMA members to enable them to meet the demands of their clients.”
The first programs, CardTREX North America and CardTREX Europe, were recently held in Chicago and Vienna. Additional educational opportunities are planned as the brand’s programming is expanded.
